5, 7.5, 10, 12, 490.
What a fun and interesting couple these two are and I had the greatest time wandering with them during their engagement session in Mission, BC a few weeks ago and am SO looking forward to their July wedding at the South Bonson Community Centre next year! Not only are Meghan and Alex photogenic, they are sweet and playful and completely smitten.
So… numbers are what came to mind when thinking about this session and how to share it with you. Ready? I know, I’m fun today.
5 = the number of words used during the proposal. Meghan and Alex are fun, young hearted and super personable. They chat easily and love to laugh with each other. Their relationship, although challenged with distance, seems so comfortable and effortless…like that favourite comfy sweater…or your worn runners. When visiting Hawaii Alex decided that it would be the best time to pop the question and carried the ring around with him a lot! He said he wasn’t nervous but just wanted the right moment. Well…when that time came, Meghan turned around and saw him holding the ring and saying these 5 words, “Babe, will you marry me?” No big winded
7.5 = how many years they have been dating. Wow! 7.5 years encompasses lots of school and the start of careers.
10 = how long ago I met Meghan…at least 10 years it is. As well as photography I dabble in coaching basketball and got to be one of her coaches for a regional team. She was amazing and I imagine still is an amazing player! I remember always wanting her on the line up because she was skilled and super dependable. As well as being one of the hardest workers I knew, she was also the best team player. So, it was such an honour when she contacted me years later to ask me to be her photographer! I love so much the people that are brought back into your life and am so excited that I get to share this year with her planning and seeing her and Alex marry.
12 = Alex and Meghan met in Grade 12!
490 = the kilometres that separate them. Meghan works in the Mission area and Alex works out of the States, traveling as a technical engineer for a sports broadcasting company. He travels to sports games which I think is many guys dream job.
Alex, Meghan…thank you so much for such a fun afternoon adventuring in Mission. You made me love the area and I am looking forward to spending more time with you!!
Ok…truly, aren’t they adorable?
