Langley Newborn Session // the Martens Family

I was so honoured when the Martens family contacted me to do their Newborn Family Session a few weeks ago. Getting to meet the new member of their family was such a joy and she is absolutely adorable. And they kind of feel a bit like family to me.

Brian and I met years ago…when my dog bit his brother. yep. His family moved in down the street, they shared a pond with us and our dog was protective. Luckily there was no blood drawn(it was more of a scare you away tactic), no hard anger and just a friendship between the families that developed. His sister and I used to get together to practice the dance from Adventures in Babysitting…pretty awesome. I still remember some of the sweet moves:)

Enjoy this family session! I loved photographing it so much and getting to spend time with them. It is really beautiful to see how life changes and the beauty of it all. This is their sweet sweet life now.
